About Ambertext

Established by Sandy Nicholson in 2003, Ambertext offers editorial and technical writing services to organisations in the UK.

Sandy has several years’ experience as a technical author, having worked in-house for nearly four years prior to going freelance. He is well versed in explaining technically complex software in terms that non-technical users can understand. Sandy is a member of the Society for Technical Communication.

He is also an experienced mathematical typesetter and music setter: he spent four years doing postgraduate research in mathematics at the University of Edinburgh and enjoys composing music when he has the time.

Since 2003, Sandy has expanded his range of skills to include proofreading and copy-editing. He is a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.
